We are very conscious of the environment. We are fully committed to finding ways by which  our activities have less impact on the environment in Latvia.

Baltic Travel Group in society

Baltic Travel Group’s main contribution to society is to grow a profitable, value-creating business, thereby contributing to long-term economic, environmental and social development. Baltic Travel Group’s most important contribution to local communities is job creation, both directly and indirectly, which helps to enhance the local level of expertise and generates tax revenues. Local suppliers of goods and services are used where they are competitive.

Human rights
Baltic Travel Group supports the principles set forth in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The company will make sure that its operations are conducted in accordance with basic human rights standards.

Working environment
Baltic Travel Group strives to offer a safe and healthy working environment for all employees. The company is working actively to avoid injuries and accidents arising out of the course of work by minimizing, so far as is reasonably practicable, the causes of hazards inherent in the working environment.


Women empowerment is very strong in BTG:
- 75 employees are women at BTG (from total 80)

- 6 Women-managers from 8 (total number of 8 management persons)

Furthermore in our office:

Avoid paper work as much as possible. We use our ICT infrastructure to send invoices and quotes by email as PDFs or wetransfer.

We recycle where we can

We shut our computers and printers down after work or when not in use .

We purchase recycled products

We encourage the use of low impact transport for travel to and from work or business travel.

Make the world cleaner and learn about recycle possibilities!

Location: Riga district , Latvia              

Combine rubbish collecting in Latvian forests / seaside with outdoor activities for all participants. The idea is that teams spend half a day hunting litter, and the other half visiting technological landfill “Getlini EKO”, where they can learn how to recycle and see recycling possibilties and what difference it makes.        

Litter picking is 3-4 hour activity, including coffee break outdoors. Then after beautiful lunch group travels to “Getliņi EKO” landfill.

“Getliņi EKO” is a modern, technological and environmentally friendly landfill of household waste. They develop and ensure operational directions, which interact and supplement each other for higher efficiency, self-sufficiency and sustainability. Getlini manage and process household waste, manufacture ecologically renewable energy, participate in environment management and grow vegetables. Getlini produces heat, electro energy and much more! Guests will be impressed to find our all possibilities of this innovative recycling landfill. 

TOYP

BTG supports Ten Outstanding Young Persons – TOYP program serves to formally recognize young people who excel in their chosen fields and exemplify the best attributes of the best of the world’s young people.

Other Projects
BTG participates at different charity projects, i.e. providing financial help to health care institution - Children's clinical university hospital of Latvia. The Children's hospital mission is the trust in the health of children and gratitude to the society for their trust.

Also, the 4th yeat the employees of BTG participate at the donation marathon www.dodpieci.lv, where the donation theme is announced every year:
- 2019 project about Palliative care
- 2018 about the Educating young parents.
- 2017 donation for families who want to adopt children

We do support local farmers and each week in the office we have fresh local vegetables or berries.

Our CEO Vlad Koriagin even became a hybrid transport ambassador in Latvia.
